Arillas Events — cancelled
The story of Kalimera
This project was born from my infatuation with Arillas.
Like many of you, I wanted to know one simple thing each morning: what’s happening here today? The answer was always buried under dozens of WhatsApp messages.
So I put my entrepreneurial and tech skills to work and built the solution.
Kalimera — the friendly bot that sent the group one organized message every morning with everything going on that day.
And Arillas Events— this website, where the village’s events lived in one clear, beautiful calendar.
It took many hours of careful work to build and maintain, and monthly bills out of my own pocket to keep the system going. I paid them gladly.
Because it was free, for everyone: organizers got fuller events, and visitors could finally see all that Arillas has to offer.
Then the group’s admins banned the person behind this project — not for anything he did, but for who he is. So this is no longer possible.
The people who lose are the event organizers, and every visitor who would have found their way to something wonderful.
We wish everyone a great summer, much love, and compassion.
